RESTORE

RESTORE is an innovative procedure to improve blood flow in the arteries of your legs and improve the quality of your life.

The signature procedure of University Vascular is RESTORE, an innovative approach to treating lower extremity vascular disease. Traditionally, patients with moderate to severe leg vascular disease require bypass procedures to redirect blood flow around blockages. In RESTORE, our University Vascular doctors use pioneering minimally invasive techniques and equipment to open up blockages while minimizing tissue trauma.

By utilizing technique and equipment that minimize tissue trauma, clinical results are obtained and patients can return to their normal routines quicker than open surgeries. In addition, RESTORE is performed in our comfortable office-based operating room, further accelerating the odds that patients return to their normal life as soon as possible.

The RESTORE process is outlined below. Please call University Vascular today to make an appointment and see if you are a candidate for RESTORE.

CONTACT UNIVERSITY VASCULAR OFFICE

Call our office location or email information@universityvascular.com to schedule a consultation with one of our board certified vascular surgeons.

INITIAL CONSULTATION
After completing patient registration forms in our office, you will have a history & physical (H&P) with one of our caring, expert physicians. They will determine an initial treatment plan and decide if additional vascular testing is required.

VASCULAR LABORATORY EVALUATION
Your physician may decide that non-invasive vascular testing is required. Our laboratory is conveniently located in our office and we strive to complete this evaluation during your visit. The tests are painless and take approximately 40 minutes.

PRE-PROCEDURE CLEARANCE
If after your comprehensive evaluation it is determined that you are a candidate for a RESTORE procedure, your physician may require you visit a cardiologist or other specialist to make sure you are optimally prepared for surgery. This may include blood evaluation or additional imaging (e.g., echocardiography).

RESTORE
Prior to the day of your scheduled procedure, you will receive detailed instructions from our office. On the day of the procedure, you will be taken care of by our specialist nursing staff. They will escort and prepare for your RESTORE procedure in our in-office suite. Your physician will use special techniques and instruments to safely open up your arteries. The procedure will take 30-120 minutes

POST-RESTORE
Immediately after your procedure, you will recover under the care of our RN staff. While the majority of patients are expected to be discharged home after several hours, we occasionally need to keep patients overnight for observation.

FOLLOW UP APPOINTEMENT
Two (2) weeks after your procedure, you will return to our office to check on your progress.
